Your guide to the People's Family Court

The People's Family Court is a private family-mediation service, not a court of law.

The People's Family Court helps separated parents agree arrangements for their children through structured video hearings with a qualified Presiding Mediator — booked in days, with a full written record, at a fixed price. It is not a court and its outcomes are agreements and recommendations, never orders of any court.

The journey in eight steps

  1. Choose country and package — Resolve (3 hearings), Rebuild (5), or Protect (8). Prices are fixed and shown all-in.
  2. Pick or match a mediator — browse verified profiles or answer a short quiz; only same-jurisdiction mediators appear.
  3. Both parents give details — identical information, identical deadlines, identical access.
  4. Identity checks — short photo-ID check each, so everyone knows everyone is who they say they are.
  5. Screening + signatures — identical safety questionnaires answered separately, then signed declarations.
  6. Pay your share — default 50/50; funds held until each hearing completes.
  7. Statements + evidence — guided writing, released simultaneously, deadline 5 days before hearing one.
  8. Hearings, then the record — minutes and directions within 5 working days; final outcome with reasons; review at case close.

In the room (about 75 minutes)

Lobby opens 15 minutes early and the mediator admits both parents together. Recording and transcription are confirmed on the record, ground rules are set, then each parent speaks in turn without interruption. The mediator asks questions, the statements are discussed, and the session closes with a summary and the next date agreed live. Raise your hand to speak; chat is for links and tech issues. Captions are on by default. Any party may request a 5-minute break.
